Tuberculosis Sensitization Programme – 2023

Following the core committee meeting, a sensitization programme on NTEP – recent updates was organized for the faculty.
The main objective of the session was to sensitize the faculty about the burden of tuberculosis in our country, revised NTEP guidelines to diagnose and manage the tuberculosis patients in co-ordination with the NTEP cell of our institution & District TB office.
Periodic trainings are necessary for capacity building so that case detection is intensified & treatment success rate is improved which are required forelimination of TB.

Around 40 faculty attended the program which also included core committee members. Queries regarding sample collection, transportation, IGRA testing, NIKSHAY usage were discussed.
